Up for sale, a 1974 Fender Deluxe Reverb in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with a two-button footswitch. 100% original save for a recap of the power supply, this Silverface Fender excels at delivering sparkling, detailed cleans with great headroom. Both channels deliver a strong, smooth signal, and turning things up past 5 on the Volume dial introduces glassy overdriven textures and a touch of compression. The lush tube-driven Reverb has plenty of splash, spaciousness and smooth decay, and the Tremolo has a strong pulse. The circuit boasts all of the original Schumacher-made transformers that date to 1973. The preamp is untouched and retains all of the original blue and brown molded signal caps, and the power supply has been recapped as needed to ensure optimal performance. The CTS pots have visible date codes from the 13th week of '74.The original Utah-made 12" speaker has an extremely clean black frame, orange Fender label on the ceramic magnet, and date stamp from the 10th week of '74. The tube chart is intact on the inside of the cabinet as well, practically pristine with crisp corners and only one small tear. The tube complement includes a pair or properly biased vintage GE 6V6 power tubes, a vintage RCA 5U4 rectifier, and a combination of new and vintage preamp tubes from the likes of RCA and GE.Cosmetically, this amp is exceedingly clean as the photos can attest, with original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with orange stripe. The faceplate positively gleams with its near mint turquoise text and full complement of witch hat knobs. All of the stock hardware is present, with minty handle caps, chassis straps, logo, and sphinx glides (feet).A modern two-button footswitch is included.
