Up for sale, a 1973 Martin D-18S in excellent condition, complete with the original hardshell case. A rather rare D-18 variant, this guitar has a unique feel and tonal response with 12 frets clear of the slope shoulder body, a full 1 7/8" nut width, and slotted headstock. This Martin benefits from all the service due an instrument of this vintage, including a professional neck reset, tall bone saddle and new pickguard.
Resonant and lively, traditional tonewoods include an X-braced spruce top paired with solid mahogany back and sides, and a mahogany neck capped by a rosewood fingerboard. There’s plenty of power and projection on tap, delivering articulate and sparkling trebles with clarity in the midrange frequencies and a smooth, rich bass growl when digging in hard with a flatpick.
