Up for sale, a 1973 Gibson EB-0 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A rare model with factory gold-plated hardware throughout, this EB-0 also features an ornate aftermarket headstock inlay.
Weighing 9lbs, this EB-0 features a solid mahogany body and a three-piece maple neck capped by a rosewood fingerboard. The famous “Mudbucker” pickup delivers pure, fat low-end thump and wooly richness, sitting perfectly in a mix, deftly below the midrange frequencies of guitar and keys which is a perfect complement to the inherent smoothness of the short scale design. This EB-0 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-105 flatwound strings and easy-playing action.

The gloss Walnut nitro lacquer finish is original on the body, with some subtle cloudiness in the clear coat, while the neck has been refinished, complete with an aftermarket headstock inlay. The neck has also been professionally reset in the instrument’s lifetime, correcting the sometimes overly shallow neck angles of ‘70s EB basses. Cosmetic wear is limited to various minor dings and finish scratches on the body, while the nitro gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean.
The original Gibson-branded hardshell case is included, along with the original bridge and bridge cover.
