Up for sale, a 1973 Fender Jazz Bass in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A quintessential example of an early ‘70s Jazz Bass, this bass exhibits plenty of soulful playwear on the original gloss Sunburst finish.
Weighing 9lbs 2oz, this Jazz Bass is an ash-bodied example, delivering an authoritative punch and rich midrange growl. The pair of gray bobbin single coil pickups feature enamel-coated wire and Alnico V magnets, yielding a distinctive presence and burp from the bridge pickup. The neck pickup offers a woody thump, especially with the Tone knob rolled back to taste. This Jazz Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.
