Up for sale, a 1972 Gibson SG-100 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a chipboard case, owner’s manual and original receipt. Among the more unique SGs produced during the Norlin era of Gibson production, the SG-100 was only crafted briefly from 1971-72, featuring a solitary single coil neck pickup (the same pickup as a Melody Maker).

Featherweight at 6lbs 4oz, tonewoods include a poplar body, maple neck, and Indian rosewood fingerboard. Acoustically the guitar is warm and balanced, and the single coil pickup has a certain sparkle and chime with a percussive, woody cut. This SG-100 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
