Up for sale, a 1972 Fender Stratocaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Previously a personal guitar of Danocaster’s Dan Strain, this Stratocaster is loaded with the very first set of Rocketfire Rockin’ 54 Stratocaster pickups (often used in Dano builds), refretted with medium jumbo fretwire.
A lightweight example at 7lbs 4oz, tonewoods include an alder body and a one-piece maple neck, delivering a clear, lively natural acoustic tone. The Rocketfire pickups are wound with Formvar wire, featuring cloth-covered leads and black Forbon bobbins. Hand-wound by Rocketfire’s Nick Sorenson, these pickups deliver a very smooth, pleasing Strat sound with plenty of bounce and sparkle in the top end and sweet, focused lows, very sweet sounding and responsive to overdrive. This Stratocaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss three-tone Sunburst finish is 100% original with no touch-up or overspray, and the finish has largely faded to a stately two-tone on top, with shallow buckle worming on the back, light wear where the forearm crosses the top, and some small finish chips, dings and light scratches in the gloss. The gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean.
The original Fender hardshell case is included, with functional latches and the raised “Fender” logo intact.
