1972 Fender Pro Reverb Vintage Silverface Tube Amp 2x12 Weber 12F150 w/ Footswitch

Up for sale, a 1972 Fender Pro Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a modern footswitch. Providing the general tonal character of a Twin Reverb, but boasting a tube rectifier and more manageable 40 watts of power, the Pro Reverb is a 2x12 amplifier with enough volume for large ensemble situations and the perfect balance between shimmering Fender cleans and smooth, touch sensitive overdrive. A great platform for effects pedals too, the cleans on this Pro are balanced, clear, and warm. Of course once you reach around 5 on the volume dial, things start to compress slightly, and you get that dynamic, glassy sound that adds just the right amount of grit to your tone.The circuit is extremely original, and the preamp is untouched save for a few smaller modern electrolytic caps to ensure optimal performance. All of the original transformers are present, all dating to 1972, while visible codes on the CTS pots date to the 7th week of '72. The power supply has been recapped with high quality F&Ts, and a three-prong power cable has also been installed. The tube complement includes a matched pair of Ruby 6L6GC power tubes, a JJ GZ34 rectifier, and a bevy of JJ tubes in the preamp.The speakers are a pair of modern USA-made Weber 12F150 12" ceramic magnet speakers. These 50 watt drivers ensure that the Pro delivers optimal headroom and rich, tight bass response, offered by Weber as a direct replacement for the Jensen C12N. The original tube chart is intact inside the cabinet.The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth with turquoise stripe is intact. The grillcloth shows modest aging, and the stock hardware is all accounted for as well including original tilt back legs, chassis straps, corners, caster inserts, handle, and Fender tail logo. A couple extra corners were at one time added to the top back edge of the enclosure and later removed.A modern two-button footswitch is included.
