Up for sale, a 1971 Gibson ES-330 TDC in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a molded hardshell case. This uncommon iteration of the ES-330 platform boasts the 19th fret neck joint only seen from 1968-71 when production totals were quite small, enabling easier access to the higher registers of the fretboard than on earlier models. This particular ES-330 benefits from a professional refret and Plek treatment courtesy of Mike Lull Guitar Works.

Highlighting both the sonic immediacy of maple and the smooth, airy quality of the fully hollow construction, this Gibson has a notably resonant, sweet natural acoustic response with great upper-midrange punch that translates well through the pickups. The original clear bobbin P-90 pickups have a glassy sparkle and dynamic cut, with a rich, textured midrange character and plenty of bark when digging in. Featherweight at 5lbs 13oz, this ES-330 TDC has been professionally setup with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The guitar exhibits a professionally repaired headstock split with targeted touch-up, structurally sound and smooth to the touch. The gloss Cherry nitro lacquer finish is otherwise 100% original with limited checking, highlighting subtle quilted figuring in the maple on top at the lower bout. Cosmetic wear includes limited buckle rash central to the back, a few minor scuffs along the lower bout perimeter, and a couple tiny chips on top at the lower bout. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss, with a few shallow marks along the profile length that have been buffed smooth.

An SKB molded hardshell case is included.
