Up for sale, a 1971 Fender Mustang in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. 100% original save for a replacement vibrato arm, this Mustang boasts a unique figured birdseye maple neck capped by a particularly dark rosewood fingerboard.

Featherweight at 6lbs 12oz, this Mustang has a smooth, defined acoustic sound that translates well through the gray bobbin pickups. There's a bold spank in the bridge position, and a smooth bell-like cut and percussive snap at the neck. Naturally, one of the most fun sounds on the Mustang is achieved via the pair of three-way On/Off/On pickup switches when engaged in their innermost or outermost positions, yielding an out-of-phase hollow quack. This Mustang has been professionally set up here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

The gloss three-tone Sunburst finish is 100% original with no touch-up or overspray, exhibiting checking throughout with some buckle wear on the back and belly carve, a small area of finish loss near the rear strap button, and various small chips and dings on the body as a whole. The gloss on the neck profile highlights the figuring in the birdseye maple, with light palm wear at the fingerboard edges of the lower registers and two shallow chips beneath frets 1 and 7.

The original speckled gray tolex hardshell case is included, with two functional latches and clean black leather ends.
