Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 1970’s Yamaha CS-30 monophonic analog synthesizer in near mint condition and in perfect working order, virtually unplayed and complete with the original box and manual. A pinnacle year for space themes, the Yamaha CS-30 was introduced in 1977 as the highest tier of the monophonic CS range of analog synthesizers. Not to be confused with the CS-30L, the CS-30 features the coveted built-in eight-step sequencer with a versatile and powerful control set and unique signal routing options. Mastering the operation of this 44 key synth involves a fairly steep curve, yet the results are simply out of this world, featuring incredibly musical resonant filters with two systems of VCO, VCF, and VCA, as well as three EGs.

The signal flows from left to right, and is generated by the user’s unique choice of parameter settings. Some of the most mammoth, subby low end bass tones can be coaxed from this synth, as well as velvety, compressed, laser beam textures, percussive, pillowy blips, and completely unique, unsettling 70’s horror/sci-fi sounds. In addition to creating custom tailored tones, an audio input can manipulate external signal sources.

This pristine CS-30 has been fully tested by our techs here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, and all functions and keys operate as intended. This synth comes complete with the original box and Japanese market manual.
