1970s Roland Space Echo RE-201 Vintage Analog Tape Delay, Serviced
Up for sale, a 1970's Roland RE-201 Space Echo in excellent condition. Fully serviced, this Space Echo features a cleaned and lubricated pinch roller, tape heads, bearings, motor, capstan, and tape path. All pots, switches and jacks have been sprayed out, cleaned and exercised, with calibrated trim pots for Level and Intensity. This Space Echo runs reliably on USA power with the original 100V Japanese transformer (a 120V Mercury Magnetics power transformer can also be installed at the buyer's discretion for an additional charge).
One of the most popular and enduring tape echos of all time, the RE-201 has been used on countless stages and in studios worldwide. Everything runs exactly as it should with a low noise floor and lush, detailed repeats.
The faceplate is remarkably well-kept with clean silkscreen graphics. All of the original aluminum skirted knobs are intact, and the chrome latches and hinges are bright and clean too. There's sparingly little wear on the black tolex, and this Space Echo is a studio-worthy, fully functional example.
