Up for sale, a 1970's Maestro EP-3 Echoplex, very original and freshly serviced. Introduced at the beginning of the 1970s as a solid state version of the previous tube EP-2, the EP-3 went on to become what has lovingly been referred to as "the sound of the 70s" after its extensive use by artists such as Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, and Brian May. The Echoplex is still used in studios across the world, not only for its warm organic echo, but also for its preamp capabilities, which many legends claim is essential to their tone.
The circuit is clean and original with stock transformers and original CTS pots. Everything on this EP-3 works as it should, and the tape echo has been gone through by our techs here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar to ensure that all functions are working correctly. The original smooth black covering shows sparingly little wear, and the original hinges, latch, and handle are all present. The original schematic is intact on the inside lid too with some modest staining.
A footswitch is included.
