Up for sale, a 1970's Farfisa VIP 345 vintage combo organ in excellent condition, freshly serviced by our techs here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar. From the first series of VIP offerings from Italian combo organ manufacturer Farfisa, the VIP 345 retailed for $1195 brand new in the mid-70s (roughly $6,000 in today's dollars when adjusted for inflation). This 345 model has all the hallmarks of the VIP line, chief among them is the Synthaslolam feature which is an automated pitch bend. When switched on, the pitch of any key pressed starts at some point below the correct note for that key, then glides upward until it hits the correct pitch. The Range adjustment determines how far down the pitch starts, up to a full octave below the "correct" note. The Timer adjustment determines the length of time the note takes to reach the correct pitch. Combining Syntheslalom with Percussion, Repeat and Vibrato can produce some really wild effects! The keyboard boasts 61 keys, and unlike earlier Farfisas that relied on simple on/off tone switches, the VIP 345 has banks of four position drawbars for an incredible tonal range. For buzzy, reedy sizzle, plunky percussive sounds, and a wide palette of the bubbly, warm sounds familiar to all Farfisa fans, the VIP 345 is among the most versatile tools the company ever created and an instrument ideal for a studio environment.Cosmetically, the keyboard looks great, with only very minor wear on the smooth black tolex and aluminum-wrapped ends. All drawbar tips are present, along with the latching lid for the keyboard, original chrome legs with rubber feet, leg brace with the "Farfisa" name, and the transparent music stand. The original volume pedal is included.
