Up for sale, a circa 1980s Burny Firebird V in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A rare upscale Burny-branded instrument manufactured by Fernandes in Japan, this instrument is a finely crafted "lawsuit era" variant of the Gibson Firebird platform featuring set-neck all-mahogany construction.

The guitar has a warm, resonant acoustic response, channeling the natural midrange heft and growl inherent to mahogany as a tonewood. The mini humbucker pickups have a vintage-style wind (in stark contrast to Gibson's hotly wound modern Firebird pickups), metering at 6.5k ohms and delivering a broad tonal range with dense harmonics. The humbuckers have great treble cut and bite, with a thick lower midrange and taut, punchy lows. This Firebird weighs 6lbs 11oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.
