Up for sale, a 1970s Ace-Tone Echo Chamber Professional Echo EC-10 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Ace Tone was the predecessor to Boss and Roland, making this Japanese-made analog tape delay the precursor to the esteemed RE-201 Space Echo. Featuring 11 selectable modes, adjustable Echo parameters, seven inputs, three output jacks, and a line out attenuator, this early tape echo is rich and responsive, with a distinctive silky high-frequency presence and granular trail.
This EC-10 has been freshly serviced here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, cleaned from top to bottom including all the pots, switches, jacks, and heads. The pinch roller and tape path have been lubricated, the power and bias supply board has been fully recapped, and the voltage selector is currently set to 117v.
The black tolex with gold piping is extremely clean with only a few minor marks, and the faceplate and graphics are similarly well-kept, with all of the original sliders and knob present.
