Up for sale, a 1970s Ace Tone EC-20 Echo Chamber analog tape delay in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original slip cover. This vintage tape echo is extremely clean and freshly serviced effect.

Ace Tone was the predecessor to Boss and Roland, making this Japanese-made tape delay the precursor to the esteemed RE-201 Space Echo. While the Echo Chamber is the granddaddy of the Space Echo, the Ace Tone EC-20 also owes a debt to Watkins' Copicat tape delay, with four individually selectable tape heads. Featuring five mode buttons (multiple buttons can be engaged simultaneously), adjustable Echo parameters, five inputs, three output jacks, a two-way Tone switch, and a Voltage Selector on the back for compatibility with worldwide voltages, this early tape echo is incredibly versatile with a sound of its own. Inherent is the rich saturation, responsive dynamics, and smooth compression expected from a vintage tape delay, and the Ace Tone a distinctive silky hi-frequency presence.

This tape echo has been freshly serviced here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar and is studio-ready. This EC-20 is cosmetically stunning, with smooth black tolex, stock handle and latches on the exterior, and original machined slider caps.

The original Ace Tone-branded slip cover is included.
