Up for sale, a 1970 Fender Jazz Bass in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Weighing 9lbs 4oz, this Jazz Bass is an alder-bodied example, 100% original save for a modern tortoise pickguard. Offering plenty of upper midrange burp and grind via the pair of gray bobbin single coil pickups, these pickups feature enamel-coated wire and Alnico V magnets, yielding growl and presence from the bridge pickup, and a woody thump from the neck pickup. This Jazz Bass has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss three-tone Sunburst finish presents very cleanly, and cosmetic wear includes a few tiny finish chips on the lower bout edge and adjacent to the neck plate, a small area of buckle rash concentrated on the back of the treble side horn, and some additional minor dings and finish scratches. There are also a couple extra mounting holes for a lower thumb rest below the pickguard. The gloss on the neck profile exhibits subtle flame figuring in the maple, with just a couple tiny marks along the profile length and one small area of palm wear at the bass-side edge of the 5th fret.
The original Fender-branded hardshell case is included, with two functional latches and the original handle.
