Up for sale, a 1968 Fender Stratocaster neck in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This early CBS-era Strat neck matches Hendrix spec, complete with the original "F" tuning machines

The profile has a chunky C-shaped carve with generous shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .865” deep at the 1st fret and .935” at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard has a 7 1/4“ radius, and the original slender fretwire benefits from a level and crown, exhibiting a touch of wear beneath the strings on the crowns of frets 1-3, extending beneath the plain strings to fret 6. This neck has been professionally tested at full string tension, notably straight with a truss rod that's responsive and amenable to a variety of string gauges. The nut measures 1 5/8“ in width. The large CBS-style headstock has all the Hendrix-era hallmarks with a block logo and “With Synchronized Tremolo” text, along with a single string tree. The original chrome-plated “F”-stamped tuning machines turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch, The neck heel retains its bold “13MAR68B” stamp.

Palm wear through the gloss has left this neck with a notably smooth, satin-esque feel in all registers, with just a scant few shallow marks that are imperceptible to the palm. There’s subtle flame figuring along the treble-side shoulder, and the headstock retains its ambered gloss, with extensive tight, subtle checking on the back of the peghead.
