Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Princeton Reverb in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, loaded with a vintage tube set and complete with the original footswitch, catalog, and schematic. Freshly serviced, extremely original and exceedingly clean cosmetically, this Princeton Reverb is the perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions. Loaded with a Jensen C10N speaker, arguably the definitive speaker for this model, the AA764 Black Panel circuit delivers both well-balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic-rich overdrive when dimed out. The Reverb is lush and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds.

The circuit retains all of the stock transformers, manufactured for Fender by Schumacher (their primary transformer supplier in the Black Panel era), all dating to 1966. The preamp features all of the original blue molded Ajax tone caps, an essential part of the Black Panel sound, with new smaller electrolytic caps to ensure trouble-free performance, and a new multi-section can cap in the power supply. All of the original CTS and Stackpole pots are intact, with visible date codes from the 38th week of '66. The chassis stamp dates to 1967, and the power cable has been upgraded to the modern three-prong variety. The tubes are a full vintage set, with a matched pair of JAN-Phillips 6V6s, a General Electric 5AR4 rectifier, and preamp tubes from the likes of Amperex and RCA

The speaker is the original Jensen C10N, with a clean black frame and gold/brown foil Fender sticker on the ceramic magnet. The date stamp on the frame is from the 17th week of '66. The tube chart is very clean, with limited aging of the paper, crisp corners, and a bold "QD" date stamp which translates to April of 1967.

As the photos show, the original black tolex is practically pristine, and the original silver sparkle grillcloth shows limited aging with plenty of sparkle left in the thread. All of the original hardware is intact, including the raised logo, handle caps, chassis straps, and sphinx glides (feet).

The original black two-button footswitch is included, along with the catalog, schematic, and envelope for this paperwork (stamped PRV for Princeton Reverb). A modern black slip cover is also included.
