Up for sale, a 1967 Fender Deluxe Reverb in excellent condition, freshly serviced and complete with the original two-button footswitch. Widely considered to be one of the greatest tube amps of all time, this Deluxe Reverb delivers the shimmering clean tone that has made these amps a mainstay in studios and on stages for decades.

The amp has a sweet, balanced overarching sound that delivers the top end sparkle and clarity characteristic of the best amps from Fender's Black Panel era. This amp is very dynamic, working as a perfect platform for effects pedals and while the treble response can cut with the best, there's a smoothness to the top end that keeps the amp from ever sounding harsh. Turning up past 5 on the volume dial, the amp begins to push into overdrive territory with light compression and plenty of sizzle. The Reverb is lush, with long decay, and the Tremolo has a strong pulse with an almost three-dimensional quality to the effect when increasing the intensity.

The transformers are all manufactured by Schumacher, Fender's primary transformer supplier in the Black Panel era. The output transformer, choke, and reverb transformer are all original, dating to 1966. The power transformer is a vintage substitution (likely a factory replacement), also manufactured by Schumacher and dating to 1973. The original CTS pots are all intact, with visible date codes from 1966, while the chassis has a clean 1967 date stamp. The preamp has been professionally recapped, including both the majority of the signal caps and the smaller electrolytics. The power supply has also been cleanly recapped with high quality F&Ts. A three-prong power cable has been installed too. The tube complement includes a properly biased matched pair of JJ 6V6s, with a JJ GZ34 rectifier and a combination of vintage and modern preamp tubes from the likes of Telefunken and JAN/Phillips.

The speaker is a vintage 12" Oxford 12L5 ceramic magnet driver with a blue Fender foil label on the magnet, and while era-correct, the speaker is actually fractionally higher wattage than what came stock in the Deluxe, yielding a bit fuller bass response and more headroom. The source date code on the speaker frame is from the 10th week of '65. The original tube chart is intact, retaining the "QD" stamp which translates to April of '67.

The amp retains the original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth, both of which are very well-kept. The original faceplate retains a full complement of vintage witch hat knobs, and hardware includes the stock raised logo, chassis straps and handle, while the sphinx glides (feet) are modern, vintage-spec Fender replacements.

The original two-button footswitch is included.
