Up for sale, a 1966 Rickenbacker 330/12 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. An ideal blend of originality and modern practicality, this 330/12 has recently received extensive work by Rickenbacker guru Larry Davis of Davis Guitar Works, with service including a neck reset to optimal angle, neck tenon reconstruction, and full refret.

The 330/12’s semi-hollow maple construction and X bracing delivers a smooth, authoritative natural acoustic tone that translates through the pickups, with the shimmer and brightness inherent to maple as a tonewood. These qualities are channeled faithfully via the alnico magnet Toaster Top pickups, and each pickup position has a distinct, chiming sound with Rickenbacker's unmistakable jangle. Weighing 7lbs 13oz, this 330/12 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Fireglo finish is vibrant and well-saturated, highlighting birdseye figuring in the maple on top, with an area of touch-up between the pickups (from the neck reset) and an additional spot of touch-up on the back lower bout at the waist. The back of the body has been oversprayed, matching the otherwise original gloss. Cosmetic wear is limited to some minor dings consistent with decades of careful usage, primarily relegated to the perimeter and the bass side of the top. The neck profile retains its smooth gloss.

The original silver tolex hardshell case is included, along with the original fretwire, nut, and tenon block.
