Up for sale, a 1966 Gibson ES-330 TDC in exceptional condition and in perfect working order, finished in vibrant Cherry nitro lacquer and complete with the original hardshell case. Highlighting both the clarity and note attack of maple and the smooth, airy quality of the thinline hollowbody construction, this Gibson has a warm, full-sounding natural acoustic tone that translates well through the pickups.

The P-90s have a glassy sparkle and dynamic, percussive cut with a rich, textured midrange character and plenty of bark when you dig in. And while the bridge pickup has a snappier, slightly more aggressive quality, the neck pickup is big and broad, retaining the articulation necessary for complex chording. The guitar is featherweight at 5lbs 13oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action and spot-on intonation.

The one-piece mahogany neck has a slender C-shaped profile carve at the nut, with appreciably more shoulder and heft further up the fretboard, measuring .800" deep at the 1st fret and .955" at the 12th. The Brazilian rosewood fretboard retains the original medium jumbo fretwire which has good meat, showing just a hint of wear beneath the plain strings on frets 1-3. The guitar plays cleanly up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The original nut measures 1 9/16" in width. On the headstock, the original Kluson Deluxe double line tuners turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

A black "stinger" had been added to the back of the headstock, likely to obscure a partial headstock fracture in the instrument's past. There is no visual indication of a repair, and this area is perfectly smooth to the touch.

The original electronics all function as intended,  and the chrome-plated hardware is bright and clean, including the ABR-1 bridge with correct foundry stamp on the base and stock nylon saddles. The chrome dogear pickup covers and trapeze tailpiece round out the hardware, and plastics comprise the original (and very tidy) black reflector cap knobs and a modern replacement four-ply pickguard. The model stamp is visible through the F hole.

The original Cherry nitro lacquer finish is glossy and vibrant, with just a hint of lacquer checking on the back upper bout binding edge. Cosmetic wear is limited to light scuffing central to the back, and a few additional faint finish scratches and minor marks on the body as a whole. The gloss finish on the neck profile is nigh flawless.

The original black tolex hardshell case with gold plush interior is included. The original handle is present, and the latches are functional.
