Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Super Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a two-button footswitch and padded cover. Perfect for gigging situations and an ideal recording amplifier, the amp provides pristine Fender cleans and ideal headroom, cascading into smooth tube overdrive midway up the Volume dial. The reverb is lush and deep, and the tremolo has a nice pulse, with everything from swampy and slow to machine gun fast tremolo.

The circuit is extremely original and freshly serviced, with the majority of the coveted blue molded Ajax tone caps intact in the preamp, an essential part of the sweet, musical nature of the Black Panel circuits. The original Schumacher transformers all have date codes from late 1965, and all of the original CTS pots are present, with visible date codes from the 49th week of '65. The power supply has been professionally recapped with JJ capacitors, and the preamp features new smaller electrolytics as well, ensuring optimal performance. A three-prong power cable has been installed too. The tube complement includes matching JJ 6L6 power tubes and GZ34 rectifier, with modern Mullard and Groove Tubes-branded valves in the preamp

In terms of the speakers, the amp boasts a matched quad of substituted vintage Fender-branded Oxford 10L6 drivers. More balanced and full-sounding particularly in the bass register than the alnico speakers more commonly seen in a Super Reverb, these ceramic magnet speakers perfectly capture the nuance, sparkle, and power of the AB763 circuit. The speakers all have clean frames, blue foil Fender labels on the magnets, and matching dated stickers on the edges of the frames from 1977. Three of the speakers retain their original cones, and one has just been freshly reconed. The original tube chart is present as well, with a "PB" date stamp which translates to February of 1966.

The original smooth black tolex is very well-kept, and the original baffle has been professionally regrilled with aged silver sparkle grillcloth. The faceplate is notably clean, with all of the original witch hat knobs. The original nickel corners, sphinx glides (feet), chassis straps, chrome tilt-back legs, and raised "Fender" logo are present too, and all hardware is in excellent shape save for some rust through the plating on the tilt-back legs.

A modern two-button Reverb/Tremolo footswitch is included, along with a padded slip cover
