Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Princeton Reverb in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with a vintage footswitch. Freshly serviced and extremely clean cosmetically, this Princeton Reverb is the perfect amplifier for small club gigs and studio sessions. Loaded with the original Fender-branded Jensen C10N speaker, the AA764 Black Panel circuit delivers both well-balanced, sparkling cleans and smooth, harmonic-rich overdrive when dimed. The Reverb is lush and the Tremolo has a nice pulse with a wide range of speeds.

The circuit retains the stock transformers, manufactured by Schumacher and Better Coil & Transformer (Fender's two transformer suppliers in the Black Panel era), dating to the first few weeks of 1966. All of the original blue molded Ajax capacitors are present, an essential part of the sweet, musical nature of the Black Panel-era preamps, and all of the stock CTS and Stackpole pots are also present, with visible date codes from the 52nd week of '65. The electrolytic caps in the preamp and power supply have all been updated, with the new caps sleeved in the original Minimite wrappers. A new bias trim pot and three-prong power cable round out the servicing, and the chassis stamp dates to ‘66. Tubes include a matched pair of Electro-Harmonix 6V6GTs, an Electron Tube 5AR4 rectifier, and a combination of vintage Mullard and RCA valves in the preamp.

The speaker is the original Jensen C10N with gold/brown Fender foil label on the ceramic magnet. The original cone is intact, and the stamp on the edge of the frame dates to the 49th week of 1965. The tube chart is present, and the "PE" date stamp translates to May of 1966.

The original smooth black tolex is remarkably clean, with sparingly little aging of the stock silver sparkle grillcloth. All of the original hardware is intact, including the raised logo, handle caps, chassis straps, and sphinx glides (feet).

A vintage (circa 1970s) Fender two-button footswitch is included.
