Up for sale, a 1966 Fender Deluxe Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch. Widely considered to be one of the greatest tube amps of all time, this Deluxe Reverb is a very original and well-kept example. Stocked with a matched pair of JJ 6V6 power tubes, the Deluxe delivers the shimmering, balanced clean tone that has made these amps a mainstay in studios and on stages for decades.

The amp offers the top end sparkle and clarity characteristic of the best amps from Fender's Black Panel era, a perfect platform for a host of effects pedals. Turning up past 4 on the Volume dial, the amp begins to push into overdrive territory with light compression and plenty of bark and body. The Reverb is lush with long decay, and the Tremolo has a strong pulse with an almost three-dimensional quality to the effect when you increase the intensity.

The circuit retains its full complement of original Schumacher transformers (Fender's primary transformer supplier in the 1960s), and all transformers date to '66. The preamp is untouched save for some smaller Sprague electrolytics to ensure optimal functionality, and all of the blue molded Ajax capacitors are present, central to the sweet, musical character of the Black Panel amps. All of the original CTS pots are intact as well, with visible date codes from the 13th week of 1966. The power supply has been professionally recapped with high quality JJ filter caps, and a three-prong cable has been installed.

The original Oxford 12K5-6 12" speaker is intact, retaining its original conde and a very rare speaker, used only in the Deluxe Reverb. The speaker has a clean black frame, Fender blue foil sticker on the magnet, and 1966 date stamp on the frame. Inside the cabinet, the original tube chart is fully intact too, retaining the "PH" date stamp which translates to August of 1966.

The amp retains its original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth, both of which are extremely well-kept. The lower back panel is original, while the upper panel is a modern replacement. Hardware includes the original handle caps, chassis straps, sphinx glides (feet), and raised Fender logo, and the faceplate is quite clean with its full complement of original witch hat knobs.

The original two-button Reverb/Vibrato footswitch is included.
