The gloss Sunburst finish is original on the face of the instrument and headstock, and the body depth has been slimmed down fractionally on the back, just shy of 1" deep at its thinnest point. The back of the bass has been refinished, along with the majority of the neck profile, while the top has been oversprayed, most prominently in the black of the burst. There are various dings and scuffs on the body from honest use. The rosewood fretboard had previously separated from the maple along much of the binding, professionally reglued and structurally sound with proper function of the truss rod. The headstock face retains its original gloss both front and back, with some touched-up finish chipping on the perimeter.
A vintage black tolex hardshell case is included. The case has black leather ends, functional latches and an original handle which is attached at one end.
