Up for sale, a 1965 Mosrite Ventures Model bass in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A genuine vintage USA-made example, this Mosrite bass was crafted in Bakersfield, CA.
The body has a prominent German Carve, and the maple neck is capped by a bound Brazilian rosewood fretboard. Strung with 45-100 D’Addario Chromes flatwound strings, the bass has a bold thump and thick growl via the hotly wound neck position single coil. This Mosrite weighs 9lbs 3oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with easy-playing action and accurate intonation.

The body sports a distinctive German carve, and the original Sunburst gloss finish has a particularly bold central red band with vertical checking across the body. A soulful example, cosmetic wear includes buckle rash across the back and a number of dings and finish scratches, particularly prominent along the lower bout perimeter and on the back. The neck profile retains its smooth matching Sunburst gloss, with a few shallow chips along the treble side shoulder at frets 3-5 that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.
The original faux alligator hardshell case with red plush interior is included. All three original latches are functional, the handle has been replaced, and "Fisher" has been written on the inside of the lid.
