Up for sale, a 1965 Mosrite Ventures Model bass in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A genuine vintage USA-made example, this Mosrite bass was crafted in Bakersfield, CA, 100% original save for a modern pair of potentiometers.
The body has a prominent German Carve, and the heavily figured flame maple neck (an unusual feature on any vintage Mosrite) is capped by a bound Brazilian rosewood fretboard. Strung with 45-100 D’Addario Chromes flatwound strings, the bass has a bold thump and thick growl via the hotly wound neck position single coil. This Mosrite weighs 9lbs 4oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with easy-playing action and accurate intonation.

The body sports a distinctive German carve, and the original Pearl White finish exhibits some yellowing of the clear coat. Cosmetic wear includes a cluster of small dings on top along the pick path, a small area of buckle wear central to the back, and a number of minor nicks on the body as a whole, largely clustered along the lower bout perimeter. The smooth ambered gloss is nigh flawless, highlighting tight, straight flame figuring extending the length of the neck.
The original faux alligator hardshell case with leather end caps is included; two of the three original latches are functional.
