Up for sale, a 1965 Mosrite The Ventures Model in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. The most popular and enduring instrument produced by the Bakersfield, CA-based Mosrite company, the Ventures model was a joint venture between Mosrite founder Semie Moseley and the band The Ventures. This transitional 1965 iteration features a sandcast Vibramute tailpiece, smooth knobs, and embossed pickup covers.
The pickups are wound hot, both metering at 11.75k ohms, delivering detailed top end that is sparkling, present, and round. There's plenty of midrange emphasis, the low end blooms and growls while retaining focus, and the neck pickup is notably broad and smooth. This Mosrite weighs 8lbs 2oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
