Up for sale, a 1965 Gibson SG Junior in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original chipboard case. With a custom color Polaris White finish, this well-kept vintage SG is a no-excuses tone machine, a holdover with 1964 features including nickel-plated hardware and a full 1 11/16” nut width.
Crafted from Honduran mahogany with a Brazilian rosewood fretboard, this Junior delivers great natural midrange warmth and growl. At 8.05k ohms, the pickup is potent but not overwound, offering great dynamic range, crystalline trebles and a woody bark that takes gain exceedingly well. Featherweight at 6lbs 3oz and balancing well on a strap, this SG Junior has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Polaris White custom color nitro lacquer finish is particularly clean, exhibiting broad horizontal checking. There are just a few minor finish chips and dings along the perimeter and some light finish scratches from minimal careful use. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean.
