1965 Fender Reverb Unit Pre-CBS Vintage Tube Tank Black Panel 6G15, Serviced

Out Of Stock
Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Tube Reverb Unit in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This all-tube design features original smooth black tolex, silver sparkle grillcloth, and raised logo. The original two-spring tank delivers lush and detailed spring reverb, powered by a RCA-branded USA-made 6K6 tube. With controls for Dwell, Mix and Tone, it's easy to dial in the perfect amount of splash and sparkle, and this classic Fender effect simply goes in-line between your guitar and amp.

The circuit is virtually untouched, with all of the blue molded Ajax capacitors retained in the preamp, with one new electrolytic cap sleeved in the original Minimite wrapper. The stock transformers date between late '64 and early 1965, and the Stackpole pots date to the 1st week of '65. The Mallory main filter caps are original and still viable, each stamped with a 1965 date on the wrappers. The original two-spring tank is intact, with a date stamp from the 36th week of '65, and the original RCA cables with braided shielding running to the circuit. The tube chart is intact as well, with an OF date stamp which translates to June of '65.

The original smooth black tolex is in remarkable condition, as is the original silver sparkle grillcloth and gleaming raised Fender logo. The faceplate is similarly clean with a speckling of surface patina, complete with original cream barrel knobs.
