Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Reverb Unit in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This outboard effect boasts one of the Reverb Unit's rarest cosmetic combinations with smooth blonde tolex, gold sparkle grillcloth with a raised Fender logo, and cream barrel knobs on the Black Panel faceplate. Easily one of the last Fender products to leave the factory with this cosmetic combination (typically reserved for the first half of 1964), this Reverb Unit's tube chart dates to March, 1965, making it a true oddity in Fender's Blonde to Black Panel evolution.

This Pre-CBS all tube design delivers lush and detailed spring reverb, outfitted with a vintage 6K6 power tube. With controls for Dwell, Mix, and Tone, it's easy to dial in the perfect amount of splash and sparkle, and this classic Fender effect simply goes in-line between your guitar and amp.

The circuit is extremely original, and all Schumacher-made transformers (Fender's primary transformer supplier in the '60s) date to 1964. The Stackpole pots date to the 1st week of '65, and the preamp retains its full complement of blue molded Ajax capacitors. The power supply has been professionally recapped, and the unit is fitted with the original two-prong power cable.

The Accutronics two-spring tank is original with date stamps from the 40th week of '64 and the 10th week of '65, and the stock RCA cables with braided leads connect to the circuit. The tube chart is partially intact inside the cabinet with a "OC" stamp which translates to March of '65.

The cabinet retains the original smooth blonde tolex and gold sparkle grillcloth, both of which are extremely well-kept and studio-worthy. There are some minor marks on the cabinet, largely on the bottom, and the faceplate shows only very restrained pitting with clean graphics and original barrel knobs.
