Up for sale, a 1965 Epiphone FT30 Caballero in excellent condition, complete with a hardshell case. Crafted at the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the Caballero is identical to the LG-0 in every way save for the headstock shape. Less common than its Gibson-branded counterpart, this flattop features a concert body crafted entirely from mahogany and a transitional nut width measuring just shy of 1 ⅝”.

A true songwriter/studio special, this Caballero is detailed, articulate, and sweet, pairing the warmth and midrange fullness of mahogany with the relaxed, open quality of a well-seasoned soundboard. Even-tempered and well-suited to fingerpicking, the bass response is restrained and immediate, while the trebles have a crisp potency and sparkle. Weighing 3lbs 15oz, this FT30 Caballero has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 12-53 bronze strings and easy-playing action.

The gloss nitro lacquer finish presents quite cleanly, with some vertical checking on the rims, a couple finish chips forward of the bridge and at the neck heel, and some additional minor dings and scuffs on the body as a whole. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean, with a few shallow nicks that are practically imperceptible to the palm.

A modern molded hardshell case is included.
