Up for sale, a 1964 Gibson ES-125TDC in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, finished in Ice Tea Sunburst and complete with the original chipboard case. Introduced in 1960, this early and stunningly-clean example of the ES-125TDC (Thinline Double Cutaway) model is 100% original save for a bone nut and pair of vintage strap buttons.

The fully hollow maple body is paired with a one-piece Honduran mahogany neck capped with a Brazilian rosewood fretboard. The natural acoustic qualities of the guitar are ample, with a clear, articulate sound that benefits from the warmth of the fully hollow body paired with the dynamic snap of maple. The original P-90s are rich and powerful-sounding with midrange growl, glassy treble detail, and low end bark. The guitar is featherweight at 5lbs 10oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings (wound G), low action, and accurate intonation.

The Ice Tea Sunburst gloss nitro lacquer finish is 100% original and positively glossy, exhibiting very light, tight lacquer checking on top, especially along the center seam on the lower bout. Extremely restrained cosmetic wear is otherwise limited to a small spot of light, localized buckle wear at the bass-side waist extending more faintly to the lower bout on the back and just a few exceedingly small dings and faint finish scratches.

The original chipboard case is included.
