Up for sale, a 1964 Gibson B-25-12 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. This early example of the B-25-12 is an infinitely playable and properly setup vintage Gibson acoustic with a well-seated bridge, straight neck and surprisingly low action. Unlike most B-25-12s which have a trapeze tailpiece and less stability and resonance, this example has Gibson's belly up bridge, anchoring the strings with traditional bridge pins for greater tonal depth and sustain. Sharing features with the B-25 and its predecessor the LG-3, this Gibson features a solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides, while boasting a very manageable 14 1/8" lower bout width.

The X braced construction of this 12 string goes a long way to ensuring that it can handle the tension of twelve strings, while also allowing for a very robust, clear, and chiming tone. This guitar projects incredibly well, with a detail and top end smoothness that comes from the spruce and mahogany tonewood combination. The six courses of strings have a sound that easily fills a room and would provide a full, present sound in any ensemble. This B-25-12 weighs 4lbs 15oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with fresh bronze strings and easy-playing action.
