Up for sale, a 1964 Fender Reverb Unit in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. This outboard effect boasts one of the Reverb Unit's rarest cosmetic combinations with smooth blonde tolex, gold sparkle grillcloth with a raised Fender logo, and cream barrel knobs on the Black Panel faceplate. This Pre-CBS all tube design delivers lush and detailed spring reverb, outfitted with the original tube set. With controls for Dwell, Mix, and Tone, it's easy to dial in the perfect amount of splash and sparkle, and this classic Fender effect simply goes in-line between your guitar and amp.
The circuit is untouched, with the famed blue Ajax and yellow Astron capacitors in the preamp and stock Schumacher-made transformers that date between the 2nd and 5th weeks of '64. The main filter caps are surprisingly still intact and functioning as they should (also featuring individual date stamps from '64) , and all of the original Stackpole pots are intact too, with date codes from the 6th week of '64. The Accutronics two-spring tank is original, and the stock RCA cables with braided leads connect to the circuit. The tube chart is also fully intact inside the cabinet with unfaded paper and an "NB" stamp which translates to February of '64.
The cabinet retains the original smooth blonde tolex and gold sparkle grillcloth, both of which are extremely well-kept and studio-worthy. There are some small scuffs and a couple additional holes on the bottom of the enclosure. The faceplate graphics are pristine, complete with the trio of original cream barrel knobs, and the black flat handle has minty nickel caps.
A vintage "door stop" footswitch is included to engage the effect.
