Up for sale, a 1963 Fender Tube Reverb Unit in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. A stunningly well-kept example in one of the Reverb Unit's rarest cosmetic combinations, this outboard effect features rough blonde tolex and wheat grillcloth, with brown barrel knobs on the Brown Panel faceplate. This Pre-CBS all tube design delivers lush and detailed spring reverb, powered by a vintage RCA 6K6 power tube with Amperex and RCA valves in the preamp. With controls for Dwell, Mix, and Tone, it's easy to dial in the perfect amount of splash and sparkle, and this classic Fender effect simply goes in-line between your guitar and amp.
The circuit is untouched, with the famed blue Ajax and yellow Astron capacitors in the preamp and stock transformers that date between mid '62 and early 1963. The main filter caps are surprisingly still intact and functioning as they should, and all of the original Stackpole pots are intact too, with date codes from the 11th week of '63. The Accutronics two-spring tank is original with a date stamp from the 7th week of '63, and the stock RCA cables with braided leads connect to the circuit. The tube chart is also fully intact inside the cabinet and nigh flawless with unfaded paper, crisp corners and an "ME" stamp that translates to May of 1963.
The cabinet retains the original rough blonde tolex along and wheat grillcloth, both of which are extremely well preserved. The faceplate graphics are extremely clean, complete with the trio of original brown barrel knobs.
