Up for sale, a 1961 Fender Tube Reverb Unit in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order. This Pre-CBS all tube design delivers lush and detailed spring reverb, outfitted with a complete vintage tube set including an 6K6 power tube, with GE and Sylvania-branded valves in the preamp. With controls for Dwell, Mix, and Tone, it's easy to dial in the perfect amount of splash and sparkle, and this classic Fender effect simply goes in-line between your guitar and amp.
The circuit retails the famed yellow Astron capacitors (save for one modern Jupiter replacement), and the original Schumacher output transformer and choke date between the 13th and 20th weeks of '61. The power transformer is a vintage replacement (also Schumacher), dating to early 1968. All of the original CTS pots are intact, with visible date codes from the 36th week of '60, and the circuit features new F&T electrolytic capacitors sleeved in the original Astron Minimite wrappers in the power amp for a clean, vintage look. The Accutronics two-spring tank is original, with its own date stamp from the 26th week of '61, along with stock RCA cables with braided leads running to the circuit. The tube chart is also intact inside the cabinet, with a "KH" stamp that translates to August of '61.
The cabinet retains the original well-kept rough brown tolex and wheat grillcloth. The faceplate graphics are extremely clean, complete with the trio of original brown barrel knobs. The leather handle is original and unbroken, and the flat Fender logo on the face of the unit is also stock.
