Up for sale, a 1960’s Teisco H-6S vintage electric lap steel guitar in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original shipping box. A rare and early Teisco steel crafted in Japan, this Champ-like lap steel features a large slotted pickup which offers a focused, throaty warmth and just enough punch and treble snap to be present in a mix, strung with fresh 11-48 roundwound strings.
The two octave playing surface features black rectangular position markers on the fretboard edges, and the steel features an aluminum nut for ideal top end snap, paired with a fretwire saddle on top of the large molded plastic bridge. The headstock features the original strip tuners with lollipop buttons, and the back retains the small serial/model badge.
The original white Volume dial is present, mounted on the clean chrome Teisco-branded pickup cover, and the stock black Tone knob is mounted to the chrome plate below the plastic bridge.
While the top has a Butrerscotch finish, the sides are finished in a three-tone Sunburst, transitioning from a a reddish brown to black. The finish is exceptionally clean, with a few light marks and scuffs mostly relegated to the bottom edges, and the back retains its smooth black felt.
The original Teisco-branded box is included.
