1960s Teisco Del Rey ET-200N Vintage Tulip Electric Guitar Sunburst 100% Original, Japan

Up for sale, a 1960's Teisco ET-200N in exceptional, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. Loaded with a pair of original single coil pickups, the guitar has a fairly meaty and warm tone, while delivering a chewy top end character and a barking treble-centric cut. Featherweight at 5lbs 15oz, this Teisco has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with easy-playing action and 10-46 strings.

The multi-ply laminate neck has a round, substantial “baseball bat” C-shaped profile carve with ample shoulder and heft, measuring .905" deep at the 1st fret and .930" at the 12th. The bound slab rosewood fretboard retains the original frets, shy of medium jumbo in width with fairly flat crowns, playing easily up the straight neck. The scale length measures 24 3/4", and the fretboard width is 1 11/16" at the zero fret just forward of the nut. On the headstock, the original "Teisco Del Rey" metal badge is intact and nigh flawless on the rosewood veneer, and the original tuning machines do their part, holding pitch well even with their less than robust construction. The "Steel Reinforced Neck" foil sticker is also present on the back of the headstock.

All of the electronics work as they should, with Master Volume and Tone controls capped with original black knobs and dedicated cream on/off switches for each single coil. The vibrato is a nicely machined piece of hardware with clean chrome plating, and the vibrato arm responds very quickly with a tall spring, ideal for surfy shimmies and deeper dives, pairing well with the roller bridge, made almost identically to Gretsch's Space Control design and offering adjustable string spacing.

The one-ply back painted pickguard retains its original flower graphics, accenting the bold three-tone gloss Sunburst finish on the body. Cosmetic wear is limited to just a few requisite finish scuffs and marks, mostly relegated to the body parameter, and light finish checking on the headstock face and neck profile which has a very smooth gloss finish.
