Up for sale, a circa 1960 DeArmond Tremolo Control 60B in excellent condition and in perfect working order. An electromechanical pedal, the DeArmond Tremolo Control is hailed as the first outboard guitar effect, used by guitar greats like Bo Diddley and Billy Gibbons.
The tremolo effect is achieved by a small motor-driven fluid-filled drum rotating inside the unit. It's an extremely rich, and dare we say organic-sounding, effect and the tone is smooth and dynamic.
The pedal has been recently serviced, and the drum has been filled with the proper liquid (Windex is the modern go-to). A three-prong power cable has been installed, and the Rate wheel and Depth knob both function as intended.
