Up for sale, a 1959 Fender Vibrolux in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a vintage tube set. Extremely original and freshly serviced, this narrow panel tweed-era Vibrolux amp has the coveted 5F11 circuit, offering a range of dynamic tones to match its good looks. The sound is shimmering and harmonically rich, delivering round cleans, and overdriven grit and bite higher on the Volume dial, cascading into ripping tube saturation at its highest settings. The tremolo is bias-based and has a strong pulse, with a smooth waveform and plenty of intensity and present percussive chop.

The circuit is extremely original, with the original Triad power transformer and Schumacher output transformer (dating to the 49th week of '59). The preamp has a bevy of original yellow Astron capacitors, as well as all stock CTS pots, with visible date codes from the 50th week of '59. The power supply has been professionally recapped with high quality Sprague Atoms, and one electrolytic cap in the preamp has also been replaced, sleeved in its original Minimite wrapper. The amp retains its original two-prong gray power cable too (cable can be swapped for a modern three-prong at no additional cost at the buyer's discretion). All the tubes are vintage, including a pair of RCA 6V6s, a Sylvania 5Y3 rectifier, and preamp tubes from the likes of Telefunken.

The tube chart is intact, noting the 5F11 circuit, stamped "IL," which dates to December of '59. The amp is loaded with the original Jensen P10R 10" speaker which has a dark blue/green frame, ribbed cone, and stamp on the edge of the frame from the 50th week of '59.

The amp presents extremely well, and the original lacquered tweed is intact and only lightly ambered, paired with the original oxblood/gold stripe grillcloth. The face of the amp retains its metal Vibrolux badge, and even the original leather handle is present. The chassis is quite clean, with bright chrome plating on the faceplate, and the majority of the original white silkscreen text intact, along with the stock chicken head knobs.
