Up for sale, a 1957 Gibson ES-175 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original Lifton hardshell case. With a quintessential late '50s feature set, this ES-175 boasts a full C-shaped neck carve and retains all of its stock hardware (including the Kluson single line tuners with stock keystone buttons). The pickup is a Pat # example from the early '60s, featuring the same construction and wind as a late model PAF.
Weighing 5lbs 14oz, tonewoods include a fully hollow maple body, Honduran mahogany neck and a dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. The natural acoustic properties of the instrument are ample, and the Pat # pickup retains its original wind, metering at 7.19k ohms. This "low wind" pickup is exceedingly dynamic and responsive to player inputs, with spongy lows, a rich, woody midrange cut and sparkling trebles.
