Up for sale, a 1956 Gibson ES-125 in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. 100% original save for a set of new tuner buttons, this well-kept golden-era Gibson ES-125 features a fully hollow body (16” lower bout width) with arched maple top and back, mahogany rims, and a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard.

Weighing 5lbs 14oz, the fully hollow construction delivers in a clear, broad acoustic response with great natural projection and a smooth, punchy quality accentuated by the 11-50 flatwound strings (wound G). Very dynamically responsive, the P-90 pickup has a glassy treble bite, smooth growl and rich midrange character. It doesn't get any simpler, and for complex jazz chords or a powerful and present tone for a bit of Americana cut and snarl, this instrument is the perfect choice. This ES-125 benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with easy-playing action and accurate intonation.

The neck carve is smooth and clean save for some light chipping in the clear coat on the profile shoulders.
