Sell/Consign/Trade

At the Guitar Bar, it’s our job to connect you with the gear you love and we offer a number of ways to do this.  We also want to help you sell your old gear that’s collecting dust and get you some new (but still decidedly vintage) goodies!

SELL: Have a guitar, amp, vintage ribbon mic or Rhodes piano that’s no longer working out?  We’re always on the lookout for new inventory and welcome the opportunity to discuss the best plan for your instrument.  We offer free appraisals and pay top dollar for vintage and rare gear.  Items we’re currently hunting for include (but are in no way limited to):

Fender Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Electric XII, Bass VI, Mustang and Coronado Guitars

Early 1980’s Fender Fullerton, CA made vintage reissues

Fender blonde “Piggyback” amps, Brownface, Blackface, Silverface & Tweed combos.

Harmony, Kay, Silvertone, Airline, Valco, weird and unusual USA made guitars

Vintage Japanese guitars by Greco, Burny, Aria, Teisco, Kawai and more

Fender Rhodes Pianos (including parts), Vox Organs, Wurlitzer 200 and 200A models

CONSIGN: We want our customers to get the most for their gear, and we offer consignments at a very low rate.  We can also repair your guitar or amp and you won’t pay until your item sells!  Over 80% of our inventory sells within the first 30 days and this is often the best route for our customers.  Please contact us for more details.

TRADE: See a piece of gear in our inventory that you can’t live without, but you’re a bit short on cash?  We’re more than happy to see what you have to trade and do our best to make a deal without affecting your pocket book.

LAYAWAY: We offer a 30 day layaway with a 30% non-refundable deposit.  We’re also willing to extend layaways beyond 30 days on a case by case basis.
