Up for sale, a brand new Patriarch Knight semi-hollowbody guitar, complete with a hardshell case. Handcrafted in Seattle, WA, this guitar is one of a select few made each year by Patriarch founder and luthier, Adam Hanson. Patriarch guitars feature top-notch fit and finish with high-quality, hand-carved tonewoods, nitrocellulose lacquer finishes and premium pickups and hardware.

Whereas most semi-hollowbody electric guitars utilize laminated woods, the Knight boasts a solid, hand-carved maple top, with a one-piece African mahogany body that has been hollowed out and fitted with a center block, measuring 14 1/2" across the lower bout, and 10 1/4" at the widest point on the upper bout, given the offset body horns. At a slender 2 1/4" in depth, the instrument is a very comfortable size, delivering an acoustic presence that takes full advantage of both the warmth and fundamental richness of mahogany, as well as the articulation and top end snap of maple. There's a natural midrange forward presence and an undeniable note clarity, due in part to the carved top, and the frequency response and harmonic complexity this guitar boasts when plugged in will delight demanding players from a wide range of genres.

The acoustic profile is faithfully captured by the pickups; a matched pair of Lambertones’ The Cremas. The Cremas are PAF-style pickups with a rich, creamy tone that effectively straddles the line between high-end clarity and mid/low-end warmth and roundness. They’re highly versatile pickups, with more crisp bite at the bridge and more depth at the neck. Featherweight at 6lbs 10oz, this Patriarch has been professionally setup by the manufacturer with 10-46 strings, low action and spot-on intonation.

The three-piece mahogany set neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with moderate shoulder, measuring .845” deep at the 1st fret and .930” at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard features distinctive shell parallelogram inlay and slender fretwire. This Patriarch plays effortlessly up the 25” scale, and the hand-carved bone nut measures 1 11/16” in width. The bound headstock features an ebony veneer, and the Kluson-style Gotoh tuners turn smoothly and hold accurate pitch. The hand-written serial number is present on the back of the headstock.

On the double-bound body, electronics include the Lambertones humbucker pair wired to a three-way pickup selector switch and Master Volume and Tone knobs. Hardware includes the chrome-plated Gotoh Tune-o-Matic bridge and corresponding stoptail, and plastics comprise a pair of gold bonnet knobs. The two-tone nitro lacquer Sunburst gloss on the carved maple top highlights faint flame figuring, with a deep Encore Brown gloss on the back and sides.

A black tolex hardshell case is included.
