The original DL4 is Line 6’s most perennially popular product, appearing on countless stages and in studios worldwide for more than two decades; this updated iteration expands on the functionality of that iconic original while reducing the overall size of the unit.\n\nThe DL4 MkII has an intuitive design that will be very familiar to users of the original, with a Mode Select knob and Time\/Subdivision, Repeats, Tweak Tweez, and Mix knobs. The new Alt\/Legacy button allows the user to flip between 14 original DL4 delay sounds (plus looper and “Echo Platter” taken from the rackmount Echo Pro) and a bank of 15 brand new sounds, drawn from Line 6’s HX family of amp and effects processors. Additionally, there are 15 “secret” reverb algorithms, accessed by holding down the legacy button while turning the Mode knob, adding lushness and atmosphere to the DL4 MkII that was unavailable on the original.\n\nFor the looper, the maximum loop time has been bumped up from 28 seconds to four minutes (two minutes in stereo) which can be expanded near-infinitely via the microSD card slot on the back. There’s also an XLR microphone input with its own preamp gain control, full MIDI functionality, and an input for an expression pedal.
