Up for sale, an ESP NEO-Custom in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Crafted in Japan by ESP, and almost exclusively seen produced by ESP's sub-brands GrassRoots and Edwards, this incredibly rare top-tier ESP-branded iteration of the NEO-Custom model was an artist signature for Inoran of the band Luna Sea.

An amalgam of Strat features with a Jazz Bass-esque offset body and control plate, this NEO-Custom features a contoured alder body, maple neck, slab rosewood fretboard, and a trio of upgraded USA-made Seymour Duncan Antiquity alnico magnet black bobbin single coil pickups. With a five-way selector switch, this guitar performs its Stratty duties with aplomb, offering a full and warm neck pickup, spanky and cutting 2 and 4 positions, and a sparkling, present bridge pickup. This NEO-Custom weighs 8lbs 6oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, accurate intonation, and comfortable action.

The maple neck has a slender and fast-feeling C-shaped profile carve with moderate shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .780” deep at the 1st fret and .860” at the 12th. The thick slab rosewood fretboard has a 9 1/2" radius, featuring pearl dot inlay and stock slender fretwire. The frets retain their full factory height, with well-rounded crowns and virtually no wear. This ESP plays cleanly in every register with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod, further conforming to Fender specs with a 25 1/2” scale length and 1 5/8” nut width. The unmistakably Fender-shaped headstock features a bullet truss rod and set of Kluson-style single line tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

On the body, the electronics work as they should, with a five-way pickup selector switch, Master Volume, neck pickup Tone control, and bridge pickup Tone control. The chrome control plate and bridge base have plenty of shine, with uniform patina across the saddles, and the guitar exhibits some requisite pick scuffing across the multi-ply tortoise pickguard. Cosmetic wear on the Sunburst gloss finish is limited to a few minor finish scratches and dings on the body as a whole. The neck profile has a silky smooth satin feel.

This guitar comes with a CNB-branded gig bag, as well as a tremolo arm and an allen key for easy truss rod adjustment.
