The Brothers houses two distortion circuits, one with JFETS and one with TL072 op amps (the same IC as the Klon Centaur), each with a vast array of tweakable parameters, and provides the user with the ability to activate the two individually or cascaded in tandem for thick, ripping fuzz.Both channels can be toggled between Boost, Drive, and Fuzz, for nine total possible combinations of gain and a myriad of possible tones. All of the sounds are thick and harmonically rich; the Boost sparkles, the drives effectively capture the TS\/Klon-style tones, and the cascading fuzz is positively massive. Each channel has independent Gain and Tone knobs, with a Master Volume and a Blend knob to determine the relative level of each channel when both are engaged. Additionally, there’s a three-way toggle to adjust the routing when both channels are engaged (A\u0026gt;B, B\u0026gt;A, Parallel) that can dramatically affect the overall sound, and a three-way preset recall toggle between the two footswitches for easy access to favorite tones. The sculpting options don’t stop there: the Brothers also has a bank of 16 dip switches at the top of the enclosure to further hone in on the perfect sound.
