Up for sale, a Bacchus Classic Series model BSG-STD, stunningly clean and 100% original. A modern iteration of the SG Standard platform with a thin and resonant satin nitro lacquer Cherry finish, this Bacchus is a premium hand-made Japanese build with exceptional fit and finish work. A no corners cut SG, this Bacchus boasts a traditional tonewood complement including an African mahogany body and a one-piece African mahogany neck with a slender '60s-style profile carve and long tenon, capped with a bound rosewood fretboard. The guitar offers a natural authoritative bark with sweet sustain and plenty of clarity, qualities which translate faithfully through the original humbuckers. The pickups are wound in the PAF range at 7.9k in both neck and bridge positions, with enough power to coax rich overdrive from your favorite tube amp. The instrument is featherweight at 6lbs 7oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The one-piece mahogany neck has a slender ‘60s-style C-shaped profile carve with nicely rounded shoulders, measuring .820" deep at the 1st fret and .895" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard has trapezoid inlay and practically perfect slender fretwire with good height and meat and perfectly rounded crowns. The guitar plays easily up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The carved bone nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock has Kluson-style tuners with lightly greened tulip buttons.

The electronics function as they should with full-size pots and dedicated Volume and Tone knobs for each humbucker. The clean nickel plating on the pickup covers, Tune-o-Matic bridge, and stopbar show just a dusting of patina. Plastics include clean reflector cap knobs and a multi-ply pickguard which shows some expected pick scuffing. The resonant satin nitro lacquer finish is applied nice and thin, and the pores of the mahogany can be felt through the finish on the body. Cosmetic wear is limited to a few light scratches on the rear control cavity plastic cover, yet there's barely a scratch on the Cherry finish and just a couple pinhead-sized marks on the body perimeter. The finish on the neck profile is flawless, buffed to a semi-gloss from contact with the palm

The original padded Bacchus gigbag is included.
